Daniel L. Johnson
Owner and President
of

JOHNSON
Management And Media
*******************

In December, 1993, after working for two years with Country artist Paul Overstreet, Daniel L. Johnson started his own full service music and media relations company called Johnson Management And Media.

Through the company, Johnson has worked on a variety of projects, extensively using his writing and editing skills, as well as his vast data base of media contacts.

Through JMM, Johnson has produced countless press and news releases and other promotional services for numerous clients, including The Fox Brothers; Paul Overstreet; Kate Campbell; Gayla Earlene; The Christian Country Music Association; Century II Promotions & Talent; Royal Wade Kimes; The Music City Fellowship; Margo Smith; Grand Ole Opry stars Stu Phillips and George Hamilton IV; and many others.  These press releases and news stories have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, including the U.S. Gospel News; Power Source Magazine; Christian-Country Gospel News; Country Chart Analyst; and many others.

In 1996, Johnson decided to take advantage of his knowledge he gained from his years of professional radio experience and added radio promotional services to his list of professional services.

As a result, Johnson soon gained a reputation as one of the top radio promoters in Gospel music.  He has promoted more than 35 No. 1 Christian-Country/Country Gospel songs.  In 2003, he was named "Promoter Of The Year" by the Country Gospel Connection; in 2004, he received the same award from The International Country Gospel Music Association.

In addition to his print media work, through his radio promotional record label, Mississippi Boy Records, he has produced several radio compilation discs that have received worldwide airplay.

USAGEM
********************************

In February, 2007, Daniel was elected as President of The United States Association of Gospel Entertainers And Musicians (USAGEM).  His election to the top servant position in the organization came after he had served the organization as both vice-president and treasurer.

In the Summer, 2003, Daniel met with Dr. Jimmy Snow at Snow's GCN television studio and shared a vision with the legendary preacher.  The vision was of an a no-nonsense professional music organization that was truly dedicated to helping artists and teaching them to become humble servants of the Lord.

Shortly after their initial meeting, Snow gathered a small group of artists together and share the vision with them.  From that small meeting, an organization called the United States Association Of Gospel Entertainers & Musicians (USAGEM) was born.  Snow was elected as the first President of the organization.

In its four years of existence, the organization has grown to more than 200 professional members.  In its short existence, the organization has produced eight television specials and in November, 2004, held its first convention and awards show.  For his vision and guidance to the organization, Johnson was the recipient of the organization's first "Ruby" award.

In 2005, Daniel received the organization's "Song Of The Year" award for his song, "Like Ol' Hank," which was a No. 1 Christian Country song for The Fox Brothers.
